Musings about vintage design furniture

From our 50’s couch

We are back after a long hiatus. Too much (paid) work, being away from home, busy at home. What caught our eye recently:

1. Three grandes dames of British textile modernist design, featured in Modernism after the exhibition at the textile museum in Washington DC. The furniture of Robin Day was also showcased.

Robin and Lucienne Day

2. Highly recommended: the documentary Contemporary Days: The Designs of Lucienne & Robin Day that also featured in the exhibition.

3. Japanese modernist designers at Spoon & Tamago (via The Midcentury Modernist)

4. Something we can’t fathom: interest in miniature chairs via T Magazine
